Each week we introduce one of the keynote speakers for the ENIS/MIDA Summer School “Spoken Images of/in Islam,” which takes place from 5-9 July 2021.
Today we would like to introduce Dr. Carmen Pérez González, Bergische Universität Wuppertal. Pérez González did her doctorate on „A Comparative Visual Analysis of Nineteenth Century Iranian Portrait Photography and Persian Painting“. Recently she was working on Iranian Poems: „Written Images: Poems On Early Iranian Portrait Studio Photography (1864–1930) and Constitutional Revolution Postcards (1905–1911): Early Photography in the Near and Middle East“ (Link).
